TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE II FOURTH WEEK (25th July 2022 - 29th July 2022) 👩‍🏫

I have completed four weeks, successfully, of teaching practice in VALLIKEEZHU School. Gradually we have developed an attachment towards the school. We have witnessed various co curricular activities conducted by the school. A science exhibition was conducted in this week based on chandrayan day. Students displayed various innovative models that they made. Students were greatly enthusiastic and talented. 

    In this week i almost completed the poem Song of a Dream by Sarojini Naidu. And I have started the chapter Tolstoy Farm by Mahatma Gandhiji. It was a rainy week, students usually arrive the school by using umbrella,it was actually a scenic view for us.we feel sad sometimes seeing students carrying bags as a burden full of books that they can't carry.over all we loved the atmosphere of the school.

TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE II THIRD WEEK( 18th July 2022 - 22nd July 2022)👩‍🏫

On the second week of teaching practice in G.H.S.S Vallikeezhu, I completed the chapter, 'Maternity' by Lilika Nakos for the class 9E. I used flashcards and pictures for introducing new and difficult words. With the help of activity cards, I checked the comprehension of students. Some days students have quiz and other literary programs at IT lab,so we teacher trainees have  to monitor students when they were writing exams. 

       The students got pity and they imagined about the pathetic condition of war.when they heard about the story of Mikali. They shared their ideas and queries.

On 21/07/2022 we celebrated chandrayan day, their was a quiz competition based on that topic.

Second week phase 2

TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE II SECOND WEEK( 11th July 2022 - 15th July 2022)👩‍🏫👸

It was the second week of teaching practice. First day of the week, Monday

(11/07/2022) had a special assembly in which Rotary club of kollam cooperation provided an Led TV for primary class. Deputy mayor and some officials of kollam cooperation were the chief guest of the programme. Head master Biju Sir presented the vote of thanks of the programme.They assure that they will give necessary scholarship for students etc.

On Tuesday Our HM gave a duty to us for serve midday meal to students. It was a nice experience for us.It was a lovely experience for us to see small kids asking for 

On Wednesday asusual  we taught chapters for my students and participated in some school activities.As usual I collect total number of students of 8 th standard, who take lunch  from school.at Noon we went to serve food.I almost completed my chapter MATERNITY By LALIKA NAKOS.

On Thursday our Tutor Anamika miss surprisingly visit our school for class observation.As it was a surprise visit we didn't expect her on that day,but we managed it nicely.we took the class, students cooperated very well,miss gave us necessary comments and suggestions to improve our class.

On Friday we conducted an eye test for Upper primary students. We told students to read letters which was placed in a long distance from them. Some students read it properly but some cannot be able to see it clearly so we noticed the name of those students. For them HM conducted an official eye test under the supervision of ophthalmologist. 

Last period was art's period know as 'SARGAMELA'.Students exhibit their skill,some sang a song,dance,tells story etc.

Over all it was a nice week. I completed MATERNITY chapter  and gave notes of the chapter. I engaged in some school activities like serving food with pleasure. I am enjoying every moments in the school. 

SCHOOL INTERNSHIP (PHASE 2)

SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE-2 WEEK-1

We started our second phase of teaching practice from 6th July 2022.we are really happy to serve as a teacher again in GHSS, vallikeezhu. Now the covid scenario has changed and all students presented in the class. New Head master Binu sir joined in the school. Six teacher trainees from our college is their for teaching practice. Abin M Thomas, pranav pradeep and Chippy M Nair from English department. Sree Priya, Divyasree and Irin from Maths department. Teacher trainees from other colleges already started their teaching practice in the school. They are very cooperative and friendly. 

On first day we reached school at 9am.After marking our initials in attendance register we went to meet our subject teachers. English teacher Clara miss assigned standard IX E for me. Iam really happy to teach again my old students.

English period was second so I eagerly wait to saw my students. On second period I went to the class, there were very happy when they saw me. We engaged in some informal talks now the class is full with 55 students.

   I gave them some time to present their creativity like singing, drawing etc. They were very energetic and actively responded. When bell rang I went to staffroom for receiving sign in my lesson plan.

      On Second day I started first chapter 'Maternity ' from the second unit 'Bonds of love'. I presented some images and videos and started class through an interactive session. They responded well.I went to VIII standard when they have any free period and gave them activities to improve their language. I engaged them in playing vocabulary games . They actively participated in the game. 

I have no class on Friday . So I completed my works till the bell rang. 

     On lunch break teacher assigned a duty for eco club members to collect plastic from school compound. We supervise them and gave biscuit and sweets to students when they finished their duty. It is really blissful to see their smiling face. Iam really happy.

After National Anthem we went home.

Sixth Week of Teaching Practice(Last week) 👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫

It was the last week of my teaching practice in G.H.S.S VALLIKEEZHU . On that week I completed the next chapter assigned for me, THE MERCHANT OF VENICE . It was on that week I conducted an achievement test for the students of 8E . On the whole my teaching practice at G.H.S.S VALLIKEEZHU was a great experience. Really like the school and the teachers.We felt very sad to say goodbye to our students. I once again summarise the chapters and clear doubts of students. One day in this week our teachers(Anamika miss,Deepthi miss)log into Google meet for observing our online classes. Students responded well.It put an end to our  Last week of our teaching practice. Fifth week of Teaching practice 👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫🧑‍🏫

It was our second last week of Teaching practice in G.H.S.S.VALLIKEEZHU. As the hours alloted to us were minimum I was continuing the chapter THE SCHOOL FOR SYMPATHY . Towards the end of the week I completed the chapter . And my concerned teacher, Sabitha  miss alloted a new chapter THE MERCHANT OF VENICE based on my request.

Teaching Practice Phase I Week 4👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫

   I continued my online class by continuing the lesson, The school for sympathy. Before the class I will send the link to the concern class then start the class.Even though we cannot face each other, students cooperated with me very well.I provided them the correct explanations for all the doubts they raise. 

                               I told them intresting stories to make the class engaging and intresting .As the online classes had a strict schedule, we didn't get classes every day. 

Third week of Teaching practice👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫

Online classes started it was very difficult at beginning to control students in online mode. At school we have only half the batch but during online class full batch is alloted for us to teach.But Only few students attended the class. We cannot be able to identify them Properly. I asked them to put camera on during online class but some of them not obeyed it. 

         Some students not responded well and not gave answer to our questions. Few students responded well and done all activities properly. As time pass I adapt with the online class.

Second week of teaching practice 👩‍🏫

One week of our teaching practice has gone now i felt like a staff teacher of our school not like a trainee. All teachers behaving to us very friendly and we also respect them. Students also become more close.

 As a result of the pandemic, the classes were divided into two batches.This week is allotted for the second batch students.So I had to take the same lesson plan for both the batches. Our face is new for them so I introduced myself and they introduced them to me clearly. As earlier I continued my chapter by showing vedios and pictures focusing eternal love. They watched the vedios interestingly and responded well.

     I attended some other class  when they have free period. I gave them some games, task, activity for improving their language. It was really interesting and engaging session.

      On free hours we discussed chapters with other teacher trainees and completed our works.Teacher trainees from other colleges were very cooperative and friendly. We enjoying each and every moments in the school. 

      This week our tutor Anamika miss visit our school for class observation. We were very happy to see her after a gap. We are ready for taking class confidently. She observed our class and gave us some suggestions. It was a nice day with sweet experiences. 

       School authorities informed us about starting online classes because of increasing covid cases day by day. We felt sad but nothing to do. We obeyed their instruction. We went to class and said about online to students there face also became gloomy. our last offline class is really good.
