Microteaching Skill

Microteaching, a teacher training technique currently practiced worldwide, provides teachers an opportunity to perk up their teaching skills by improving the various simple tasks called teaching skills. With the proven success among the novice and seniors, microteaching helps to promote real-time teaching experiences.
I as part of my B Ed curriculum have taken my microteaching with the skill of probing question in the second semester. I took the poem, TAJ MAHAL by Rabindranath Tagore, to acquire and develop the skill of probing question and the poem solitude by Ella wheeler Wilcox,to acquire and develop the skill of illustration with example

Teachers Day Programme

5th September is celebrated as Teachers' Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to society.

Teachers' Day is celebrated every year on the 5th of September, which also marks the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was an Indian philosopher and the second President of India. To celebrate this occasion, students perform songs and plays, acknowledging the contribution of their teachers. Students also show their affection to their favourite teachers in the form of cards, speeches and chocolates.

In the wake of coronavirus pandemic, all the schools and colleges have been closed for the last few months. With online classes, students and teachers will now be celebrating Teachers' Day 2021 virtually. Every year, students prepare a speech for their teachers, to convey their wishes and gratitude. Even this year, students can prepare a speech at home, which can be performed online, during virtual celebrations.

As we all know, we have gathered to celebrate Teacher's Day online. Let me take this opportunity to thank all our teachers, who have been working very hard to teach us online. Taking education to the next level, this year may have given us tough times, but our teachers have surely been a ray of hope.

From guiding us to motivating us, this year our respect for teachers worldwide has grown immensely. We know it has been challenging for each one of us, but teachers have been our lockdown mentors. They have supported us throughout and helped us cope with online classes and tests.

In these tough times, I would like to thank all the teachers on behalf of each and every student for your unwavering support. Thank you for guiding us, inspiring us and making us what we are today!

Seminar Report

Seminars hold great importance in the life of a student. They are platforms not only to learn new aspects, others' perspectives and latest information, but also a good way of networking. As part of the B Ed curriculum, I have taken a seminar on the topic,"Techno Pedagogy, content knowledge, pedagogy knowledge, Technology knowledge, Teacher as a techno pedagogy".

FIELD TRIP

Tour has great significance in the process of learning. It not only bring happiness but also enriches our knowledge. As part of our B.Ed curriculum, it is must to conduct a study tour. We had a one day trip to Alleppy, Ponmudi and Mankayam.
Our first destination was Kuttanad backwaters. Alleppy backwater in Kerala is perhaps the most enchanting ones in Kerala. The experience of floating along the backwaters on a houseboat was inexplicable. And secondly we explored an adventurous trip to Meenmutty waterfalls. Meenmutty falls gives a glimpse of natural beauty surrounded by the mountain range of Western Ghats. Then we set forth our journey to Ponmudi, a breathtaking hill station situated at the southern stretch of Western Ghats. Mankayam waterfalls, another popular eco tourism spot. We had a great fun under the cool waters of the waterfall.
